Gateway Casino and Entertainment recently issued a statement on Casino Lamar in Ontario. The company has expressed optimism that it will be able to resume operations at its gaming hotspot by the end of the month and welcome customers back in a safe environment. However, it remains to be seen whether the two-week lockdown will be lifted.

Casino llamas were forced to close as Ontario moved to a Phase 2 revision of its business reopening plan from 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. According to this, all indoor social activities such as casinos, restaurants, and gyms should be closed. The new order is set to expire on January 26, 2022.

In a press release this week, Gateway Casino and Entertainment spokesman Rob Mitchell noted that the company has specified January 27, 2022 as a potential resumption date for the resumption of gaming facilities. As of that day, the mandatory shutdown in the provinces will be lifted, but this could be changed and the period could be extended further.

Mr Mitchell made it clear that the gaming giant remains optimistic about resuming business later this month. He hopes the government can successfully distribute booster shots against unprecedented conditions to reduce virus cases across the state. If the virus breaks out, the company will be able to restart Game Amenities in eastern Oriya.

The latest shutdown hit the company's plans for the casino once again in November, announcing its intention to return to the entertainment center after a nearly two-year shutdown, and the company even announced several attractive live show schedules for customers to enjoy, but unfortunately the plans were put on hold.

In November, Glen Trickey, vice president of operations in the central region, explained that the reopening of the 5,000-seat venue and buffet would ensure an increase in visitors. Then about 200 additional jobs will be returned to the scene. However, the casino has previously announced that it will postpone most events until later.

As already mentioned, Casino Lamar has prepared a very interesting live performance at the entertainment center of the venue. Last month, Canadian rock icons Kim Mitchell and Honeymoon Suite were added to the show's schedule. Their concert was scheduled for January 22, 2022, but was postponed. Tickets may be refunded or used on a new date.

Casino Llamas closed for nearly 16 months after casinos first closed on a large scale in Canada in March 2020. During the off-duty hours, some readjustment of the game floor required compliance with the Social Distancing Protocol when restarted. Over 400 slot machines and 20 table games were removed. But the employees weren't fired.
